Lives & GAME OVER

It kind of ruins the challenge of a level if it is some kind of "play until you win" thing. I believe every platformer should have "lives" and a "game over" feature. Doesn't it make things more interesting?
It may be frustrating to restart a level all over again, but is all that really so bad if you can get back to where you were?

If a "Life" system gets added, we could add "extra lives" as collectibles, too!

Portal and Portal 2 didn't need lives. Last Legacy doesn't need them either. :ugeek:

The reason those games didn't need lives was because having them would add frustration to the game. The same applies here. It's why a lot of newer games are praised for doing away with lives. There are some cases where a lives system would work, but I don't think that Last Legacy needs them.

That actually makes sense. I didn't think about frustration at the time, so yeah, I guess Last Legacy is better off without lives if we want to avoid frustrating its players, then. Gotta retain quality. :3
